Cold to us already! Rarely see frost at home and Murphy, NC campground frosted over with some snow in mountains. Beautiful sites to see from a heated car. We needed heavier jackets.

My fishing buddy happened to cast into a tree recently and as I helped get her line free we realized we were looking at a virtual fly shop on that branch. I went home and got my pole pruner and lopped off the branch. That night I picked 30 flies from that branch.

You only eat the small limbs. Fish sticks. Happy fishing. By the way I have learned to catch trees with any kind of pole. Now that's a challenge

Catching is easy releasing and keeping your gear that is talent.

Yes, it certainly is ! It's bad enough when it's out of reach overhead; it's really maddening when/if it's snagged on the OTHER side of a deep, fast-moving stream !

Fly fish in Ocean Isle Beach N.C. on the intercostal waterway. ( depending on the direction of the wind.) Have my share of putting the fly on the back cast in the weeds
