Badbobby meets a frog.

One day Badbobby was walking around a lake fishing, and having no luck at all. He couldn't even get a hit on his lure that flashed lights and played Dixie and had worked the water into a lather. He heard a wee, little voice calling for help and found a little green frog.
"Help me. Help me!" the frog cried. "My life was wonderful and so happy, then some kind of evil magic turned me into a frog!"
Bobby said: "Little frog, I studied with a guru for two years and learned the secret to true satisfaction. I might be able to help." He remembered the Guru's pronouncement. Go outside and play with a BB gun until you shoot out somebody's eye. "Before you were transformed, were you a handsome prince?"
"No" said the frog, "I was a polywog."

I know it's been a long time since I've been up there Smokey but folks in Wyoming used to shoot people that talked like that. Be careful man but keep 'em comin.

And if you change out the wings on your coachman for hair wings it becomes a Royal Wulff. I'm related.

When I was a teen, we put a stuffed owl on a post behind a guy's house. He was a grouchy type who knew more than anybody about what was right for them.
That afternoon there were at least twenty crows after the thing. They were all around, in the trees, on his roof and now and then one would swoop in from behind and nail it. The owl lasted two days.
The guy was still grouchy, but we felt better.

Didn't know that. So cool. I have fished the things and thought they were coachmen. They aren't as popular as they once were, but the trout don't know that.

I love dry fly fishing. Watching the fish taking the fly on the surface is so satisfying. Also, watching a bass nail a topwater lure makes your little heart go pitty pat sometimes.
Caught a seven pound rainbow on a royal coachman one time. There were witnesses. He was dinner. I have fished the Wullfs without knowing the difference. The trout seemed willing enough.

My dad had his own dry fly dressing. Paraffin melted in Carbon Tetrachloride (Energine spot remover) dip the fly in and when the carbon tet evaporated left a film of parrafin on the fly. They floated like corks. 😃

I didn't know you could get carbon tet any more. It is a wicked poison. Sounds like that would work really well, though.
