I just wanted to shout out your handling skills- Too many people don't know to support the belly on bigger fish.
What'd you catch it on?

What were you trying to catch?

We’ve caught small and large mouth, flounder, catfish, perch, crappie and sunfish all with just worms off the dock, but with this one I thought I was snagged on the bottom. I had let my line sit in the water for a while trying to fix my lure and then poof! I got this big guy

Flounder can live in saltwater?
--
by walleyehotdish
Ha, I'm in Minnesota. I know nothing about them.

Yes, they sure can. Redfish, snook, tarpon and a couple other species can go into completely freshwater, but they need higher salinity to reproduce.

I think the water is brackish possibly. This river is attached to another that goes to the ocean and the tides affect the water level here.... but please don’t quote me, I might be way off base lol
