While I was fishing in the local waters my BIL (youngest sister Sue’s husband) was chasing bigger fish on Lake Ontario. He went out on his buddy’s boat and did pretty well with the Cohos and Kings. Though I wasn’t able to attend, I’ll reap some of the rewards of their efforts. He gave me about 12# of fillets for smoking that I’ll share with friends and family.

Those summer salmon are so much better tasting than when caught during the fall run for sure Doug.

Yes it is brother.
My glastron is carpeted.
Been thinking about putting something in my tracker.
Help deaden the sound when you drop something on the metal deck.
Plus cushion for old legs 🤔👍

Mornin guys. 42* on my front porch at 0630.
Suppose to be over 90* again today.
I on the other hand hate carpet in a FISHIN boat.
My next boat will have a full vinyl floor.
That way it's OK if fish blood and slime gets on the floor. You just wipe it up and then hose it all down when you're done for the day. 🤠👍

He’s a good guy Gordon, he was a high school friend that I hooked up with my sister many years ago. Sister Sue is also a fisherman but doesn’t much care trolling all day for salmon.

That’s for sure!
They camouflage themselves by turning a dark olive after entering the shallow tribs on their way to spawn & ultimately die. Their flesh begins to soften & deteriorate. Some guys keep their limit of 3/day in NY.
Look closely & you’ll see this male King (Chinook) spraying his milk on Mickey’s waders.
