Spent a few hours at McDonough today, sweating for a few Bass. Water temp was 82.6° at the ramp, but was as high as 88.2° in some places by the afternoon. My skunkbuster was the best fish of the day, 4.0 lb Largemouth. Caught her in a recent blowdown, but it took me a good 10 minutes to get her out of the tree. Broke of a second one in the same tree and had one bitten off in the Brushpile. Caught a 2.25 pounder in the reeds, and that's the last good one for the day. Most of my usual spots were empty, and hitting the north end of the lake only produced 2 dink Largemouths. 91° and 90% humidity wasn't pleasant at all. I enjoyed the 6 mph max wind, fishing wise, but a stronger breeze would have felt good.
All fish caught on a weightless TR Dinger, Watermelon/Red Flake.

Skunkbuster 4.0lbs.

A few nice ones Fred! If that water gets much warmer, they'll be jumping in the boat to cool off!!
