Left Florida on 6/16 headed for bar harbor Maine last we spent last week in Old Orchard Beach Maine.
Went fishing Friday on a 4 hour Am charter.
5 anglers 26 stripers boated the captain had 5 lobster traps down we ended up with 2 legal lobster after checking and rebaiting the traps. Went with 3 New Friends from Vermont I met at our old orchard Beach campground. And my traveling friend Steve. Here's some pics.

Nice catching Norman. Maine is quite a change from Florida, how did you like it?
I gotta ask, who's holding the rod upside down?🤣

Fred, if you turn your computer over, all will be good. It is all about perspective

It is funny, but I have a friend who learned that way as a kid. He was left handed back when spinning reels did not have reversible handles. He still fishes that way. I watched him land a 20 pound King salmon with complete control. I think he does it just to drive everyone who fishes with him crazy.

Who’s to say who’s wrong(regarding reel position/use)?
Jimmy Hendrix played guitar upside-down and I don’t think I have ever seen anyone mention that he was doing it “wrong.”
However, there is a proper way to use a rod & reel and spinning rods are not designed to function properly when used wrong side up.

That's my new friend from Vermont.
The weather is very nice.
And the water is cold.
But I'm looking forward to getting back home.

Haven’t held a rod like that in so long, but I remember having reasons. Certainly caught fish that way!

The captain put the handle on the other side for him.
