Thanks!
Have my boat at Romp's in Vermillion last couple of years. Seems like walleye bite tapers off as we get into July. I am looking for a spot(s) where there is some bite going on currently. I find the online guides and reports very vague and some seem to be there mostly to attract business for the charters . Any ideas ?
Thanks, Bob

Leave the marina go east. We are catching casting harnesses and Erie Deries in 28-40 ft of water. Guys are trolling in 55ft. The bite has been good and consistent here east of you.

Tight lines

If you’re going to cast a harness put a 3/4 oz egg sinker on your line about 30” up from the harness. Cast it out let it get to the bottom then slow reel with a pause every 2 or 3 cranks. If you feel a bite give it back to them instead on setting the hook. Move rod tip back to the fish. They short strike a lot and that puts the bait back in there face. When you start to reel again often your hooked up.
