Dennisjj and Graywulff got together after many post here on the forum and went fishing at their special pond off the beaten track. All of a sudden, the Game Warden ( Fix or fish ) jumped out of the bushes.

Immediately, Graywulff threw his rod down and started running through the woods. The Game Warden ( Fix or Fish ) was hot on his heels.

After about a half mile, Graywulff stopped and stooped over with his hands on his thighs to catch his breath, after all, like a lot of us he is up in his years, so Fix or Fish finally caught up to him.

"Let's see yer fishin' license, Old Timer!" the Fix gasped.

With that, Graywulff pulled out his wallet and gave Fix a valid fishing license.

"Well, pop," said Fix or Fish. "You must be about as dumb as a box of rocks! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!"

"Yes, sir," replied Graywulff. Before you call me dumb you should have your facts right. My good friend Dennis, back there, well, he don't have one."

Some of you may have missed an earlier posting on this subject, so here goes ! Can't speak for all states, but here is some info regarding states that I've lived in or have friends;
N.H. - residents 68-plus pay $7.00 plus $2.00 admin. fee/Virginia - 65 and over pay $9.00/Florida - no fee for 65 and over, but must have proof of age and residence at all times; one option is to get a senior fishing certificate and carry it as proof instead/Texas -
65 and over pay $16.00 for senior license/Arizona - no discount; pay full price 'til you croak ! There is one free option called a Pioneer license, but you have to be 68-plus and a bona fide resident for a continuous, uninterrupted span of 25 years immediately prior to your application to qualify !
Plenty of other states may be free for seniors, but these are the ones I know !

Just 'Google' a request about California senior license fees; you may have to dig through several possible replies as it seldom gets right to the point ! A little research goes a long way !

Being my age ,I'm not required to have a fishing license here in Texas
Not sure what the age is to be in the grand fathered license law
but I would think it was somewhere around 65 or 70
go to any sporting goods store
they will have pamphlets to tell you if you need license to fish

or not

I still buy fishing license
the money goes for a good purpose

I know in Oklahoma not sure but I think Texas and Colorado offer lifetime licenses. I've lived in both. But while I lived in Mississippi my license was free. I am permanently disabled since I was 22 so in Oklahoma it cost me 5 for five years and I bought my muscle diving license for 55 dollars annually, in Idaho I paid 19 dollars and 14 for a second rod stamp, Washington state I paid, seems like 15 dollars plus 14 dollars for second rod. Not sure what Colorado cost, waiting for my resident to kick in, so I'm looking for places to fish, since I don't have the money to purchase a non-resident license.
