Bluegill’s and Crappie

I went early morning before rain came. On a rocky dam that had weeds out 20-50 ft about 6-10 ft deep. I used maggots on a Black ant #8 about 30” down to target Gill’s. Had a lot of fish bite. Kept a dozen nice ones and was able to remove the hook easily from the lips of a lot of others. Then I switched it to a 1/32 jig with curly tail and had just as much fun. I even went deeper into the weed bed and caught Crappie. One was near 13” which I released because it’s rare to get Crappie there in hopes it was a female.Tight lines!
