Had To Fix The Weak Versa Trac Downrigger Mounts And Other Upgrades

I had bought some nice Versa Trac downrigger bases for the new Scotty DR's, but the whole rail flexed in a highly disturbing manner, especially with the 12lb weights I've been using for trolling at 3.5 to 4mph. Saw this on another site on a boat Keith New in Manteca had upgraded. They are solid as a rock. I also took the time to change to new lithium batteries as mine just didn't seem to be playing well with each other, and put guide posts on so that we can load the boat without a courtesy ramp, it already has an automatic latch on the winch post. The seats have been adjusted lower and it's a better seating position.

I have a pair of 120 amp hour lithiums for sale, they take a charge like they should and work perfect as separate 12 volt batteries. I could not in good faith sell them as a 24v pair, although I have no idea why they were not working well for me in this boat, they always worked beautifully in the last boat. They are a few years old, about 4, and have been used through perhaps 30 or 40 charge cycles at most. I'm looking hard at wiring and touching issues, and have to wonder if it isn't something done poorly when the dealer upgraded it to 24v from the 12v that it came with.

These would be perfect for a kayaker that wants to pull waterskiers all day, I have no problem selling them as singles
