We spent the last few days at Sherman and were pleased to find the bite is back on, sorta. We found a few crappie around the docks Wed evening but didn't get serious about fishing until Thursday. We were on the water by 6:30 trolling or favorite spots. Finally between 10 & noon we had a grand total of 3 crappie. We park the boat and drown a few worms at noon with nothing to show for it. Then we went to another favorite spot and started trolling #6 & #7 flickers. We left before noon today (Friday) and came home with 17 crappie and 2 keeper (19") walleyes. But we had to WORK for each one.

Thanks fishyaker. We were on the water for over 12 hours the first day with most of the crappie caught in the last 2 1/2 hours.

Well done! On choosing a wife!!! That’s a special lady that will fish for 12 hours. My wife is good for about 3 but I’m just happy she wants to go. Any time on the water is heaven on earth for me!!!

Owe, and nice job on the crappies and eyes. I’ve found the jointed Rapalas out catch the flicker minnows. But I use both.

Tight lines
J

Nice catching Joel and Mrs. Great persistence shown by the 2 of you, and it paid off. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
