I fish the river pretty regularly and the chinook during the month of May was terrible. the water was dirty and honestly i have found no one that has caught a fish this year. Also unless something has changed make sure to check the emergency regulations because the river closed on May 31st. You would likely be better served to head out to one of the lakes in your area.

Been up 5 times and its pretty quiet. With the snow melt, the river was pretty high. Getting some rain today so that may bring some up river.

The river opened last week above marble mount north. Most of the Chinook are sitting right up at the end of the river.

It's my understanding that Sockeye opens the 15th, and kings upriver the 16th

The Skagit River is open from the Hwy 530 bridge at Rockport, upstream to the mouth of the Cascade River from June 1st until July 15th. Limit is 4 hatchery Chinook, with only 2 being adults.
