I live in Connecticut, what’s the best time of the tide to fish for snapper blues?

Just a thought. Release the snappers after catching them. Let them grow up to become the gorilla blues that produce those drag screaming runs.

I do release them, although they don’t fair to good when released, but does anyone know what part of the tide is best for catching them?
