Hi! I'm in the area of Honeymoon Island, Howard Park, the causeway into Honeymoon Island. Also from Anclote pier. I'll be fishing from shore sometimes. I'm a Jersey Girl and used to fishing up there. I need to know what bait or lures to use in these waters and would appreciate any tips you could give me.

Welcome to fishing stage. Canโ€™t help you with saltwater fishing, but there are many who can.
Good luck and remember that we love pictures.

Good morning I fish a little South of Tampa Bay but just ask any bait shops in the area and they should be able to get you started.
No red tide now and fishing is good just remember to keep sunscreen on, wish you best of luck ๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ

I fish anclote in a small boat..i average 15 fish a trip..some up to five pounds. Mostly trout. I use a gator 1/4 oz. Gold spoon..or a popping cork with a small 1/10 th. Jig head with a paddle tail..the popping cork works great on the pier as well..if you spot me say hello..my boat is a small seafoam green whaly..cant miss it..

I haven't done much salt water fishing lately, but I went a couple of weeks ago, and caught some nice cats and a stingray from the shore in Oldsmar using shrimp.

Use shrimp to catch bait... or buy a frozen ladyfish. Cut pinfish and cut ladyfish will catch you quality size snook and redfish. Everything eats shrimp which is the problem EVERYTHING eats shrimp ;)
