I have a 3.5 pull start Tohatsu on my 7.5' Livingston. I also have an Eagle fishfinder from a previous boat. Is there any way I can use the engine as a source of power? I thought about installing a small riding lawnmower battery to power the FF, but wouldn't that wear down if fishing for 8 hours. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Randy H

Check the amp draw on your fish finder. It’s probably under three because you probably have a 3amp fuse on it.
If the lawnmower battery is 30 AH, you would get 10 hours of power when drawing 3 amps.
Most cheaper lawnmower batteries should be able to power your unit all day. I suspect that your unit is drawing less than 2 Ah.

Unless your outboard has electric start, it doesn't have a generator or alternator coil in it to create 12volts. The utility battery should last all day with a full charge.

Thanks for the replies. I'll pick up a small tractor lawnmower battery.
