Wind was finally manageable this morning so I got out for a little local fishing. Caught 6 decent crappies, a smallish bass and of course the obligatory snot rockets of which I’ve included for fly’s viewing pleasure. Figured once he saw it he would be glad to have been shopping for a ❤️ seat. Saved the best picture for last, you’re welcome Leo.
Some nice catching! Good to see you getting out fishing, congrats on a successful day of catching! Good luck and be safe!!

Thanks Al, gotta get you over there after work some afternoon. I know you’re not a panfish guy but there’s plenty of bass in there as well.
Give me a shout when you're heading over,I'll meet ya

There's one other alternative, an inflatable.
Didn’t consider that Fred, great idea! I’ve done a few floats down the Delaware river in my buddy’s and it was quite comfortable.

Nice catches BK. Looks like chartreuse was the key. Don’t let Leo fool you. He secretly targets those. 😁
Thanks Four and yes, chartreuse was what they wanted. Tried quite a few others with no results.

I’ll do that Al, just gotta wait for a less windy day or one that’s not strong west or northwest which is often the case.
Well I guess 10 ti 20 is a good reason to be home watering my garden front a bucket in my truck.

No skunk is always a good thing BK and the pond looks great! Way2Go and keep them lines tight!

Thanks Fred, finally got a bit of reprieve from the wind this morning but she’s rearing her ugly head right now. The vegetation is starting to become a problem on this local lake for the shore bound angler. Kayaks are allowed but no other type of watercraft, seriously considering picking one up. Gotta ask some advice from some of the avid yakers such as fishyaker and AndrewB on this site. My replaced joints can’t tolerate sitting for too long, will need something with enough stability to stand every now and then. Have a good evening there Fred.

Good morning BK! I noticed your kayak comment embedded in this reply to Fredfish and thought I'd give my initial 2 cents worth....
As you know there is a huge gammit of choices to consider. Depending on how much you think it would get used, and the typical bodies of water where you would go, my first thoughts go to a very entry level sit on top style. Definitely sweep the used market in your area to keep the initial investment lower and gain experience to see how much you enjoy it. If I recall, you do have a boat for going out in large lakes etc. where that approach to fishing makes the most sense.
Storage, handling and transporting a kayak are often overlooked aspects of paddling/pedaling so give that some thought too.
As for being able to stand up, I might suggest not worrying about standing while out on the water, and instead, just go out for an hour or so and come back to shore to get out and walk around a bit before going back out to continue fishing. This is especially easy with smallish bodies of water, or where there is opportunity to make shore in various places without needing to return to the put in spot throughout your time on the water.
I'd be happy to share more ideas if desired via a PM if you start to get more serious about a kayak!

Nice ones Brad. Congrats on a no skunk day. That's always nice.

Nice catching bk, and you must have been fishing from shore, as those trees in the background all look the Same!😁
