Wind was finally manageable this morning so I got out for a little local fishing. Caught 6 decent crappies, a smallish bass and of course the obligatory snot rockets of which I’ve included for fly’s viewing pleasure. Figured once he saw it he would be glad to have been shopping for a ❤️ seat. Saved the best picture for last, you’re welcome Leo.

Great looking habitat...and terrific fish photos too! Glad you got outside despite how windy things have become lately!

Well, Brad, the day started out good, and then it started to turn to shi!. and I would guess that slime dog would top it off. But, I am watching the news, so, it could get worse. Thank you for sharing the crappie and the bass. Have a good evening, bud.

You make it sound so easy Brad. Griz and I going to be at Long Arm Reservoir Friday. Hope that darn skunk is long gone from there. Talked to a couple guys last trip there and they had as much luck as I had. Something has to start hitting there soon.

Nice catching Brad. Very nice of you to get a gift for Leo. It looks like your vegetation is off to a good start. Thanks for sharing buddy.

Best of luck to you and Grizz plumb, I’ve smelled my fair share of skunks.

Thanks Fred, finally got a bit of reprieve from the wind this morning but she’s rearing her ugly head right now. The vegetation is starting to become a problem on this local lake for the shore bound angler. Kayaks are allowed but no other type of watercraft, seriously considering picking one up. Gotta ask some advice from some of the avid yakers such as fishyaker and AndrewB on this site. My replaced joints can’t tolerate sitting for too long, will need something with enough stability to stand every now and then. Have a good evening there Fred.

Good luck in your quest Brad. They don't allow canoes or pond boats? If not, I would look for the widest yak you can find. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the suggestion Fred, I assume a canoe would be permitted but the township has specified no boats and actually put a post at the entrance to the lake that would be too narrow to get even a small Jon boat through.

Thanks Al, gotta get you over there after work some afternoon. I know you’re not a panfish guy but there’s plenty of bass in there as well.

There's one other alternative, an inflatable.

Nice catches BK. Looks like chartreuse was the key. Don’t let Leo fool you. He secretly targets those. 😁
