Hey old bass guy I have that same scale with a hook and I'm amazed that no bass has ever jumped off of it and back in the water out of my kayak. They seem to get paralyzed when I put the hook under their gill and let them hang which is a big surprise to me.
Those are some really nice Largemouth!
