Thank you one and all for the nice comments, have to go back out tomorrow (Friday) to see if I can get anywhere close to the same results. Sent my buddy Rick the pictures and he sent me a text that he will be at my house at 6:30am sharp! Who is the young Beach guy Jar and Jeremy are talking about? I wish, this old body is getting slower on a daily basis. Maybe I am just lucky, something like the squirrel and the acorn, lol. Lessons Matt? You are the king of the north; you don't need no stinking lessons!

Thanks Fred turned out to be my most fun and productive day so far. The scale is made by KastKing and cost $19.95, their next model up with the grip is only $24.95 so I am just going to get that for the extra $5.

That sounds like a plan brother.

Went out to Skinner today by myself this time and did really well. Went to my new honey hole that we now call 3Lb Bay. Stayed there all morning until one last stop before going in and got one more there. I think my top 5 were around 20 lbs. Most of the others were in the 2.4-2.6 range so didn't post those pics. Got a new fish scale and do not care for it as it has a hook instead of a grip, so it is going back. Will let the pics tell the story.

Nice day on the water OldBassGuy great catching what were you getting them on? πŸŽ£πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

I am a really boring fisherman and almost always use the same thing..........5" Thin Senko on a 1/0 hook. Works for me so I seldom change it.

Or I could use this one. It was my grandfather's that he bought in the 50's.

What do you think?

I have one like that. I don’t want to lose it or get it salty anymore. I think the good part of the digital type is you can zero it.. without much effort. Can add a big barbless hook and zero them.

I have a slightly newer version from my childhood. Just trying to read that thing, with the fish wiggling around, made it a ballpark weight at best.LOL.

Great day at your local fishing hole!! You killed it. Got my cataracts checked Monday and got some numbers$$$$$$$ waiting from to hear from my eyeglass doctors call to get some clarification on the charges. I thought my Medicare and blue shield would pay for everything other than the best lens upgrade. That alone would be $9080 on top of the basic charges at around $14290 I think. , I don’t have a copay on anything and no deductible. Hopefully I’m not reading it right.

Those prices sound really high Larry. Think mine were in the $3000 range. One upgrade lens and one standard.

Nice report and photo spread! Those are some real dandy bass! I like Fredfish's idea about modifying your scale. I have a separate jaw grabber with a small loop on the handle so I can use my regular scale with a hook for the loop and it seems to handle decent when sitting low in my kayak. I do think it is gentler on fish that are intended for C & R.

Good luck on whatever you change or adapt to and thank you for the post!

What brand? Where did you get it? How much did it cost?
