Good morning, and welcome to the Stage, Candid. Leech is a big lake with big walleyes. Do they still have the cormorant problem? πŸ¦…πŸ¦…πŸ¦… They shot them for quite a few years. They eat a lot of walleye and perch.

Great looking walleye! That does look like a huge lake...no land in sight! I hope you get back on that water for many more catches!

111,000 acres. Easy to be blown off when the wind comes up!

And the wind doesn't have to get very high, and the waves will be rolling in just a few minutes. It is a nasty lake to be out on with any wind at all.

Most large lakes are when the wind kicks up. I belly boated in Mexico Bay on Lake Ontario once. ONCE!!!
My Buddy had to tow me in on his Wave Runner…

The problem has been alleviated but they still have shooters on Pelican Island.

111,527 acres give or take. It is a huge lake and I have been to the walleye opener here every year since 1987.

This one was a catch and release but we had no problem catching our limit each day.
