I have heard of it but I have never tried it. I wonder if it would work with walleyes.

I don't think you want to get caught doing that. Warren might look at that as cruel.

LOL Did the guy tell you that on April First ?

Just go where there are tree tops down in the water and the Crappie will be there !

Some take old Christmas trees and weight them down and secretly place them where maybe no one else will know they are there !

Or you can do like my nephew and I have done invest in a Hummingbird Helix fish finder

I’ve heard the same story. Definitely against the law in Calitaxya.

Heard of doing that with gray trout but
don't think it's legal

A friend and I did that to a couple of flounder. It was interesting to watch the three balloons
We learned a few things about flounder and how they act during a tide change.

We did that to a BIG bluefish while shark fishing. We knew there was something around when that balloon started leaving a wake behind it.

After a couple of hours we caught the balloons and removed them and put the fish back in the water. I talked to a DNR officer about the experiment, he did not say it was against the law. He was actually interested in what we observed

I had heard of doing it with a bobber. I'm not sure of legality.

Just cast your line back to the same spot the first on hit in
