I quickly put together a small portable tackle box geared for catching bass in mostly clear lakes and some smaller ponds.
Contents:
Various soft plastics (sungill brush hogs, green pumpkin and junebug trick worms, senkos)
Hooks and weights for texas rigs
Rebel Pop-r, Whopper Plopper 90, Strike King 1.5 KVD Chartreuse Crankbait, Chartreuse Lipless crankbait, Topwater frog, Chartreuse chatterbait, dark colored jig
I currently carry 2 rods in my car, one rigged with a spinnerbait and one rigged with a texas rig. Does anyone have suggestions for essential bass baits that I am missing? I should note that I do almost entirely bank fishing in generally clear to slightly stained lakes and the occasional small pond.

Id add bobber stoppers

I could definitely add those, they are small enough to fit in the box for sure. Do you usually run them with a Texas rig?

Yea most of the time

To what end?

Not sure what you mean. I use them to lock bullet weights in place

Do you use fishing snaps?

Not on the line that I have Texas rigged but yes on the line I have set up with the spinnerbait. I know people say it’s lazy fishing so I’ve been tying most topwaters/cranks with palomars and trying to avoid the snaps

Honestly, that's about all you need for a portable box. Hell, that's really all anyone needs in general for bass fishing. I'm a big fan of the wacky rig, so a wacky tool/o-rings would also be put into mine. Otherwise, have a pair of pliers (or a Leatherman) handy and call it good.

wide gap hooks in 3/0 (are those hooks you have considered wide gap?)
black/white grubs
also craw type plastics in some kind of brown color

I would include something a little more finesse just in case. Either drop shot or Ned rig just because they’re easy.
I also love throwing soft swimbaits so maybe some ewg hooks and a paddle tail or two.

Buzzbait/spinner bait

Yea that’s the only thing I could think of. Or maybe some swim baits but not with those hooks. Actually you have enough room in there to add a few shaky heads or weighted hooks.

Tubes.

Maybe some bobber stops and beads to go with the bullet weights. That box would work for most of my trips.
