Hello boys and girls time for today's fishing 🎣 Trivia.
First off I would like to thank everyone for not giving into the temptation to look up the answer. It makes it more fun to guess.

Yesterday's question was what species of Catfish in the United States was the largest?
Today's is what is the smallest? As a bonus what is it's size?
There are some aquarium fish that are referred to as Catfish. This is not what I'm looking for. The answer is a actual wild species found in North American Waters.

The smallest we have are Yellow Bullhead.
I don't think they grow over 3lbs or so.

Some kind of a bullhead. Maybe a mudsucker if they are considered a catfish. IDK.

I believe that would be the stone cat, we have lots in the rivers here in pa. about 2 inches long. great for bait.

The correct answer is the Pygmy Madtom. It grows up to 1 inch and is found only at Frost Ford and Brooks Island in Hancock County, Tennessee.
