Went out this morning at 4:00AM and got to fish till 8:00. Tied on a jig for a change and broke a nice fish off on the first cast. Picked up my go to tight line and it was on. Caught one in the dark then three more before the wind ran me off the lake. Biggest fish today went 4.20. Fun time even for a short trip. Saw lots of fish on the scope but didn't pound on them, gotta leave a few without a sore mouth for next week for when Billycrap2 gets here. We should hit them just about right.

Another great day. I’ll have to research tight lining. Don’t know anything about it.
Thanks for the pictures.

There are quite a few videos on You Tube now, One of the better is Bass master Brandon Lester's video. It's really not a new technique, I picked it up years ago while Crappie fishing. Kept catching Smallmouth so I adjusted a little and got the technique right for the Smallies. Now I'm even see it used by the Bass Masters so the secret is out.

I've never used the tight line in the dark before this morning and was pleasantly surprised the fish will bite it in the dark too.

Early is good. Wind can always be a pain. A little breeze is good but not high enough to rock the boat.

Jar, these fish are wound up tight getting ready for the spawn, pulling hard and jumping lots. Had the biggest jump 4 times out away from the boat then twice while I was trying to get my hands on it. They are very healthy fish for sure, I caught one the other day that had a spot on it's lip where it had been caught before, maybe by me. It was healing up great and it went back into the lake to hopefully get bigger for next years catching. We have an 18" limit on Tim's and it's working out pretty good, I've caught more over 4 pounds this year than in a long time. Maybe they'll be 5 pounders next year.

Early was good this morning, I broke off my first bite about 15 minutes after I put in at 4:00. I love fishing in the dark, it makes the fight seem so much harder. then about 7:30 the predicted 4 MPH wind turned to about 25mph. I'd had my fun so back to the ramp. There was a guy just putting in in a small 10' flat bottom with a 1.5hp merc. on it, I'll bet he didn't stay long.
