Evenin pome.
The rain's brung the lake up about 6 feet,
The River of Roaring is brown.
To my big surprise,
A joy to my eyes,
The mudline is all headed down. (stream)
I found clearish water at 60 degrees,
We all know what that means to bass.
My worm's all they'd eat,
But, man was it sweet,
They just about wore out my a$$.
From the mouth of the river to my favorite bridge,
There's stuff on the water, that's all.
So I did go cast,
And got me all bassed,
Caught 14 I think, had a ball.
Great way to close the weekend. Have a good week ahead, fellow wormers.

Lookin' good, & nice pome.
Chunky bass! Have they spawned yet there. Here in western Colorado it's still winter. Warmer today. Low of 36 high to be 62. Yesterday was low of 20 but high got clear up to 52. Tight lines!

Oh no. No spawn yet. Surface temps are hovering around 60 but keep dropping with cold fronts. Old man winter just won't let go! Plus, a big rise in water level always screws up spawn activity. The next couple of weeks, tho, we're gonna go nuts with good fishin. 🤞
One of my old fishing buddies just fished a retirees tournament on Fayette County Lake, a power plant lake East of Austin. He boasted a 24" largemouth that weighed 8.5# and several 6 pounders were caught. Makes me wonder why I moved back to Colorado. Oh yeh, great grandkids! Can't spoil 'em from 1100 miles.

Good point. Bass types are pretty much everywhere. Grandkids, not so much.
Just got an email from an Austin, TX friend. Caught his PB largemouth 11.8#. Haven't yet looked it up to see where caught and on what.
I came for the pomes. Pretty good pome, Brother Wiggle Worm.
