Today I got to take my 6 year old grandson fishing. We were only 4 blocks from our house. My wife called and said Gizmo''s mother was going to call from prison, where she is spending time for Habitual Drug Dealing, my wife wanted me to ask if he wanted to go home and talk to his mom?
He said* No Grandpa I want to spend time with you today ".

Bug n I raised our oldest grandson.

He's still with us Bug luvs it. Gives her purpose.

I tell people Brody says he's going to Moms or dads or pappy n nanny his Dads parents.

He always calls this home . It is a good feeling brother.
Give yourself a pat you earned it.

C Bell : You and your wife did the right thing. Kinda sad that Gizmo made the choice he did, but it's a testament to what a great GF ya are, that he places so much value on his time spent with you.
I'm sure you must feel a lot of pain and disappointment over this situation, but you and your wife can both be proud that you're stepping up to do the right things. In an odd way, you are "lucky" to be able to spend this much time with him, it's irreplaceable. Hope your family dynamics are headed for a better place once this episode is over. If not, there's little you can do but continue to take nurturing him to the limit. Good Luck to your entire family. 🥜.

Not today buddy it's to cold out". He stuck his arm out the door and said " It not to cold to me".
Well buddy it's to cold for the fish today" .
" Grandpa when will the fish get warm"?
" It looks like Thursday will be a good day. That's in 4 days".
Several times today he asked me " Grandpa is it Thursday yet"?
