Well guys, got up here bout1230. Had lunch and dropped Sue at the library. Went to the house and it was bad.
There was 3 feet of packed snow and ice in the driveway. I had to use a steel shovel and break it all up and then run the snowblower.
It took me 4 1/2 hours just to clear the drive big enough for my truck.
My wrists are killin me now, tonight.
Between chopping the ice and manhandling the snowblower I'M SORE.
The walk way was even worse. There was 4 feet of ice and snow so I just worked shoveling a path over the top and made stairs to climb up to the path and down to the porch. Even that took 45 min.
OH well, such is life. Just glad I'm still able to do it.
There's close to 7 feet of snow in the yard and the other side of the driveway.
Bout 6 feet on the roof also.
I took a few pics before but none after. I'll take some more tomorrow.
The last pic you can kinda see how bad the walkway is.
Think I'll go to bed early. 🤔😄👍

Moved to Tahoe from Texas in'76. Wife's Dad lived in SF.
My wife was from Berkeley and was havin trouble livin in West Texas. 5 months after I got out of the Air Force we moved to Tahoe.
Raised our 2 daughters there and when the youngest graduated HS she joined the Army.
That was in 2000. We left Tahoe and moved down to Esparto. Then couple years later over to Windsor.
Now we have to move back to Tahoe to reestablish our residency to sell our house here next year.
Then were moving to Brentwood to be closer to our daughter. She's been diagnosed with lupus and things are gettin harder for her.
Not sure when you’re leaving from up there but there’s another storm coming in Monday night thru Wednesday. Be careful up there…🐟on

Saw..I don't understand, you gotta meet a residency requirement to sell the house ? What's that all about ?
(If you don't mind an explanation).
In California you are required to establish that the home is your primary residence prior to selling the property. If not you are penalized with an outrageous capital gains tax upon selling the property! It was designed to stop speculative property purchases in the housing market.

That’s what my tax guy tells me.
Thanx for the response. You would think they might cut ya some slack at least for the first one or two, particularly if you're retired or had to move for employment purposes. I CAN see some wisdom in trying to limit house flipping that would inflate property values from "outside" speculators, though.

Glad I don't have to deal with that!
As a retired roofer myself, I would say the leak is caused by ice buildup
Wait till the summer and check it out
Also, there is a lot of snow on that roof on the ice is not helping

You're only as old as you feel. I'm gonna go with about 40.😁👍
However, that's today. I felt a little older yesterday. 😂
