Welcome aboard D. What kind of fishing do you do over there? I'm always interested in types of fish others catch.
Red drum, speckled trout, sheepshead and of course the ever popular catfish

Oh man D. That's my favorites. Going next week for some cats. Post some of your catch.

I might too. Got some nice channel cats in the lake. Rigged two MH Berkleys for cats yesterday for my next trip next week.

Good luck Fly. Enjoy your trip.
Set out my 'noodles' then fished a while...........nothing. Water very high, did a drive over a popular lake, and it is riddled with stumps and islands. Now not one top of a stump showing, and all the islands are under water. I hope Dascooke has better luck, and welcome to the stage.
I’m in the Lake Charles area and was wondering what do y’all usually use for bait for catfish? We use shrimp, cut bait perch and mullet, shad, homemade stink bait and worms. Is there something out there better that you recommend? Just getting back into catfishing. We used to use mackerel cut bait in California worked great there.
