Hello. My name is Jack, and I just joined this website. I’m looking to hear from the fisherman in the Indianapolis/Fishers/Noblesville area who primarily fish for bass (both smallmouth and largemouth) and crappie and bluegill. I primarily like to fish White River in the areas I mentioned above, as well as Broad Ripple and Rocky Ripple. I’m also interested in lakes and pits in Linton, Indiana, that I could fish from a kayak. Lure suggestions would be appreciated!

Howdy neighbor I'm in Lafayette.
Although I've never fished the white river, I have had some success on the Wabash.
I wish you the very best of luck and be sure to post pics. We all love to see them.

If your looking to fish in the Linton area try Green Sullivan Recreational Area. Lots of strip pits. Some with ramps some with out. Would think it would be a Kayak heaven. The one I have fished the most is Bass Lake. Large mouth bass, muskie, and blue gill. All lakes seem to have a good crop of weeds and the ones I have been on are very clear. Light tackle (unless Muskie fishing). All bass baits seem to work just scale down in size. Sun gets up the Ned rig can be a killer. There are maps available that show most lakes.

Welcome Jack thanks for joining I think you will find many folks here willing to share info. I also live in the Indy area. You should check out the Green/Sullivan State Forrest. This is near the Linton area and you can down load a map that shows all of the lakes in the area that are kayak friendly.
