Hello to everyone from South Louisiana! I'm new here and recently just got back into fishing. I'm a full time Paramedic, Husband, and Dad/Step-Dad. Love fishing both saltwater and freshwater. Haven't been catching anything as of late and stumbled across this forum looking into other methods to land some fish, mainly Crappie, or as we call em down here "Sacalait". I'm limited to bank fishing at the moment, but hoping to get a kayak soon for solo outings and maybe a jon boat for days out with my daughter (who out fishes me every chance she gets).

Welcome to the stage M322. Hope you like it here as much as the rest of us do.
You need to PM FourchonLa. He's from down your way and should be able to help you out.
Good luck when you get out and post some pics.

Welcome to the Stage Medic. Good Luck with the Sacalait down there, and remember, we love pictures.

You are here, on the Stage, and welcome, but where are you from? I'm just outside of Lafayette, and fish the basin a lot.

I'm in Houma, I fish between Schriever, Golden Meadow, and a little in Point Aux Chene if I'm in the mood to crab. So not far from you Harris.

I've been out your way plenty of times back when I started out working for Acadian Ambulance.

Also new to this forum. That being said I’m not too far from Houma.. actually Des Allemands. Sac-a-last this year have been hard to find. I’ve fished Des Allemands, Lockport, and Bayou Boueff areas over the past 3 weeks and haven’t found them. I’ve heard even Bayou Black around Gibson has been slow as well. It’s been pretty slow here since Hurricane Ida nearly 2 years ago. There are a few Bass, Catfish, and the perch bite is picking up with the warmer weather.
