Back when Carling's Brewery was operating on Lake Cochituate, the trout were always gathered around the "water fall" definitely a sight to see. Unfortunately long gone now. I saw a report from Lunker's that said there are trout in Hopkinton Reservation.
You can find up to date trout stocking, and where, on the Mass Wildlife website. They hit really well, the day after they stock.
I caught over 40 Browns, 2 years ago, on one trip, using a bass lure.
I have a bad neck, and I couldn’t fish for weeks after fighting them.
I usually chase Northern Pike, and the few Tiger Muskies we have.
