Eat sardines, pork and beans and about 4 hard boiled eggs before you go. You get the picture, they will stay down wind from you all day.
If that is the solution take extra underwear and paper.
I can tune out talking, but do like the solitude, but I hate someone casting over my line!
Just tell them how you feel, I have friends I fish with and ones that just never bring fishing or hunting up!
It is alright to have more than one kind of friend.

Judge32, Don't you mean up wind? I don't think I want to be up wind of you after all that good food.

I went fishing with a fellow one time, he let one out in his truck. I called my wife to come get me. I was glad it wasn't my truck, I would have had to trade it. LOL
Just don't tell them you are going is my answer, too. But that might be hard if they are neighbors with line-site to (you readying) your boat, co-workers or family. Especially since you, like I do, love to be on the water all by myself. I have great fishing buddies I love and respect and whom make sure to help out with costs and cleanup. When I don't tell them I'm going fishing they are not mad. They know and respect that I love being out there by myself.
I like the honesty answer, too. At the same time, I believe if these guys would understand a honest, quick, kind talk-about-it, the chat wouldn't need to be held in the first place.
Second thought: If they drink too much that is not helping things. Prohibit booze if you're still going to take them. Then see how many still want to go fishing with "you" and not fishing with "beer."
