Not much yet Jmug. The only steady bite is in the Housy. Maybe a stray or two in the big river.

They're catching them with plastic shad on lead swimming heads, in the Housy.

The only ones that come to mind are at the Birdseye St. boat ramp there's a fishing pier just north of the Coast Guard dock, which is in Stratford, near the mouth of the Housey. Also there's one at the end of Long Beach St., just in front of Bridgeport harbor. East of the river, in Milford, you have the bar that runs out to Charles Island that can be fished on the lower half of the tide. Further east is a pier at Gulf beach. Good luck and post some pictures.

I'm planning on fishing in Stratford tomorrow, is it worth a shot or should I go somewhere else?

Are you fishing from shore or a boat Jmug?
The latest report I saw was that not only are they in the river, but spreading out to some of the beaches and shore points, west of New Haven. Also they're starting to hit more than plastic Swimbaits, some have had success with Swimming Plugs, Topwaters, and bait. Go for it, it's gonna be a beautiful day on the shoreline. Good Luck and Tight Lines.

If nothing is happening at Stratford, jump the river to Milford. There's an excellent Tackle shop there called Bobby Js, they'll steer you to the latest fish.
