I smell Skunk in Northern California quite often. Every once in awhile I avoid driving over them on the pavement. Pee You. It is good you only have slow days in HIGH WATER or COLD SEASON.

There are lots of skunks around Northern CA. I have seen families of them where I live. People who walk in early morning have to keep there eye's open not to surprise them...lol!

While I enjoy catching fish, I don't expect to catch them all the time. though we have been pretty fortunate to do a lot of catching. When we fish but we spend the time and effort. When catching is slow, we work harder to go over more water to find them and adjust whatever we need to. When catching is slow, I become serious fish hunter... doesn't mean I will catch them but it makes me feel better to look for them. LOL!

[quote=saw1]Well guys. I was suppose to be in Tahoe takin care of things up there but more weather was predicted for early next week. Didn't think it was advisable to go up there with all the rain or snow in the forecast.

Just came across this picture. I hope your place is ok. 🙏

Yep, some places are literally buried under all the snow.

I'll be sure to post pics of my place when we get up there. Hopefully later this week. Maybe Thursday.

At risk of sounding like a nagging wife, be careful on the roof.

Well it wasn't meant to be today.
We fished all day and we only had 1 bite and that was trollin. We were trollin along and all the sudden my rod bent back and line was just peeling off. By the time I could get the rod out of the holder it was gone.
Was a very strange bite. Usually when they peel line off like that, they're really hooked.
Was a pretty day till bout noon then the wind picked up and it turned overcast.
Still had a good time and Ben and I both really just needed to get out on the water.
I took 1 pic of the crescent moon this morning right before the sun came up.
Hopefully better luck next time.
It was much more of a sliver than the pic looks like. Was VERY pretty.
Well it wasn't meant to be today. br We fished al... (show quote)

At least you were out there fishing :-)
You know what they say... "That's why they call it fishing, not catching" :-) You'll get 'em next time, Steve!

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to take it easy and try to keep the hours of snow removal under 15 hours this time.
