The temps will start dropping the next day or two,
The rain's here and wind's blowin fast.
So afore it gets icy,
And fishin is dicey,
My bud n I went down to cast.
It wasn't too bad while the sun was still out,
Then clouds and wind ruined our moods.
Instead of regrettin,
And bad weather frettin,
Some bass made us 2 happy dudes!

Know what, we are happy dudes. We fished together starting back in 1968, lived our lives away from each other for decades, then started back up when I moved home. It's all good.
