Got out for a short trip this morning, put in at sunup and pulled out at 9:00. Caught two, both in the three pound range. Wind got up so I called it a day.

Nice catch. I’m planning on getting to Tim’s Ford for some fishing soon. I’ve floated the Elk River from Tim’s Ford dam to the first bridge with my cousins a few years ago. Absolutely beautiful area.

That float has really nice scenery and some very good Trout fishing as well.

Nice ones Ivey! You can't tell...but I am drooling to get out after bass around our area.
I was chatting with a muskie guy yesterday and he told me about a 30 pounder from a few years ago that had a 21 inch smallie in it's belly that had just been swallowed a short while before he caught it! All I could think was "that poor bass!"

I was just looking at those photos and realized the first pic. it's tail looks kinda beat up. Maybe fanning a bed??? getting close to that time.
