Friday, my very healthy wife of 50 years had a ruptured blood vessel put pressure on her spine. She lost pretty much all use of her left side. No one really knows the long term results. I am using the stage as a distraction, outlet and way to relax as I can sit next to her and still get some positive input. If I strike out at someone in an unwarranted manner, I am apologizing in advance. It is not often ones routine, social recreational and financial life gets completely scrambled in a few hours. Enough of that. Please keep the photos and positive trip stories coming. Life is what it is.

baba..... Don't be concerned about us, you know what a caring and supportive bunch we are. Just take care not to become too despondent. If that happens, reach out to family and friends, including us here at the Stage.
Although it's unnecessary, I will accept your apology in advance. No need to feel you can't be a bit angry and frustrated at this point, that's only natural. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say we're all thinking of you two in your time of misfortune. The outpouring of prayer from those here who have faith should begin soon. I hope you can find some measure of comfort in that. * Nutz *

Thanks all. Side note: I never thought the hallmark movie channel would be such a blessing after teasing her about it for years.

Strokes are very scary I've had a few and seeing my family worried I'd ever be person I was during my recovery, I had a tiny aneurysm pop in my head when I was in my 30s it hit me out of the blue and put me in a fog for a whole year, after first back surgery I had multiple mini strokes hit me after my heart went into an uncontrolled state of Afib Nothing but prayer's for you and your wife 🙏

I’m really sorry your wife, and of course we suffer when our loved ones do, are experiencing this. You clearly have a lot of people praying for your wife’s speedy and complete recovery. I personally can’t imagine how you could offend anyone, especially since we know what’s going on. Hang in there!

Just got back from Hawk Creek to hear your life changes. Zilch due to thin ice over the water.
I have a sister that has been hobbling around for almost 50 years due to a stroke that hit her right side.

Early rehab is very important and encourage her to do more than she may feel she can. Hope the reovery goes quickly.
