If not for the hardworking and wonderful people South of our border my staffing level would be at 35%. Don't even get me started on the way Corporate America treats its workers. Six and seven day work weeks, 12 hours a day, and you need every penny you earn to support your family. Treated like an unthinking piece of property owned by the company so that work is nothing more than a means to an end. Steve, I know what you mean about untrained workers and barely making ends meet. Here's a song that about sums up corporate America.

My apologies to you fine sir. I never intended to imply that anyone was unpatriotic, especially fisherman, for buying products elsewhere.
I most definitely agree with you that corporate America has huge problems. I actually retired early because I felt like a piece of meat.
Funny thing that you mentioned a Toyota truck. I live in Lafayette Indiana. We have a huge Toyota factory that makes pick up trucks. Many people that I know work there and are treated well. I would buy a Toyota pickup truck that was made in my local community.
It's impossible to buy only made in America. Even the foods that I buy are grown
Elsewhere

Sorry hit the wrong button.
In conclusion please forgive me if I indicated that you were unpatriotic. I ment nothing of the sort.
Is it possible to see if your truck was made in Lafayette? I would love to know.
Stay cool man, and fish on.

Thank you sir, and you did not offend me in any way. I just wanted to point out that getting the best bang for your buck can often be something not made in the USA. And said purchase will not result in a forfeiture of citizenship. I will see if I can find something that indicates whether or not my Toyota is home grown.

Bc... man, that song was so true back in the day! It blows my mind how little we've progressed in 2023.

One thing we have to remember now is that there a lot things wrong with the world ๐ŸŒŽ today but if humans don't learn to live on EARTH together we will keep having wars as we have have for thousands of years. We must remember a comet could end it all in a second. And yet we threaten each other with nukes that nothing on EARTH ๐ŸŒŽ will survive so fish ๐ŸŸ on while you can

Tell me your modelโ€ฆand the parts you need. I will see if I can find them for you.

I talked to my reel repairman today since I had him look at my 4600c ambassador reel that was my go to reel for 40 years and he told me that it is so wore out that I should retire it since he can't find enough parts to fix it. And I remember giving my 5000 to a friend for parts so I think I'll just look for newer reels. I have a 5600 and a 6500 striper reel that are in good shape that I still use but I thank you for your offer. On another note I caught one Musky in West Virginia when I was a teenager on a tout tail plastic that I brought from Texas, the only one I ever caught lol

Ambassadeur reels can be quite collectable, but I do not think this one qualifies as collectible at all:

I am a real fan of Ambassadeur reels, but I would not pay more than $40 for this reel and then only if I was looking for hard to find parts.

Thinking way over priced but, whatever the market will bear. I have a dozen old Ambassadors some never used in the boxes. My problem was I worked at a tackle shop. Now I remember why I never brought a paycheck home from there. May have to cash in on my investments at these prices.

I don't know of anyplace to get a valuation on a reel. A reel in very good condition will probably sell for more than its original price. I used to make a hobby of tuning Ambassadeur reels and selling on eBay. If you look there for your model you will get an idea of what people are asking for the reels. Most are hopelessly overvalued and you can get an idea of this by watching 'buy it now' priced reels and seeing how long they are out there. You can also get an idea of reels that are really in demand.

As an example, the reel that I originally posted more than a few weeks ago is still out there. It has been there for a very long time.

Reels that appear to have high demand to me are the C5 Magnetic brake models. 4600C5, 5600C5 and 6600C5. These reels are usually snapped up quickly for a price around $200. I have paid special attention to these models as they are my favorites.
