Welcome Ward, so, do you fly fish, spin fish or bait fish these trouties?
Fly,spin, nymph and bait also. I just love to be on the river. Although fly fishing I don’t do as much due to it is a disease for me. I got caught up one in belt deep water fast current and realized my right leg was num due to a back problem. Let’s just say it was rough on the home team for a lil while.
Congrats on the retirement wardcarr. I am eastern NC and retired 2 1/2 years now and fishing has become an obsession. Not only because the fishing has been good, but being one with the environment and all the beauty it has to offer, has made those 50 plus years of working a memory worth being grateful for that the Lord has given me the health to enjoy fishing.

Congrats to you on your retirement as well. I love the mountains and trout fishing here. I also love to get to coast and fish as well. Looking forward to last of August and September to Beaufort SC and hit those reds.
You brought back some great memories. I use to fish the Broad river near Bat Cave when I was young. Great trout fishing. I live in Sequim Wa now. Going over to Port Townsend later today to throw in a crab pot and a fishing line to see if I can get a flat fish or maybe a salmon. Miss WNC a lot. Congrats on retiring in such a beautiful area.
Enjoy it and have a Blessed day. That ole Rocky Broad n me got a lot of good memories as well.
