That one Im positive isn’t the case anymore, deal lake is where I cut my teeth as an angler and while there used to be huge bass and carp, the shitty-ness of the lake proved to be to much for the fish these past two years. Not much of anything in there anymore

I've never caught a Pickerel. As far as I know they are not present in the midwest. I have caught many Northern. How do they compare in size? Are Pickerel overall smaller?

Caught many in the Atlantic County ponds using minnows aka "minnies" in south Jersey on single hook in line spinners. I think Eagle Claw still makes snelled hooks with spinner blades which also work.

I am lucky enough to have a " camp" on Lake Champlain in Grand Isle county. I fish there almost exclusivly. Sorry I can't be helpful.

Look for shallow flats that have weed growth. If it is calm twitch a Rapala, give it 2 twitchs ,let it float to top then repeat,if it is windy I will use a either a storm thunderstick or bomber a,I usually wait till the afternoon so the sun can warm the water a little,if your lake has a spillway try a wacky rigged soft stickbait or a swimbait on a light jighead,

Hello Major
I have a boat in Atlantic Highlands Marine, I work on the railroad and have Mon and Tues off.
I'm guessing you are retired, i am always going out solo because everyone is working.
I would be happy to have you as my guest if you would be interested. Boat goes back in April 1st (Grady 192 Tournament). Let me know
Thank You for your service
George

Yea but they let some water back into it and stocked it with bass and panfish, the pickerel just survived throughout it ig
