bosox , Maybe your state's D N R has a list of handicapped/ easy access locations ? Worth a try.
I'm intrigued by your user name : are ya from Massachusetts area, or a Red Sox fan ?
Anyway, Welcome to the Stage. Good to have you.

Stripers and Largemouth Bass are my focus in the Delta area around Stockton. But other species have played dirty tricks on me (see pic).

Welcome to the Stage Bosox. California should have all Handicapped accessible areas listed. As Maxx said, check with your DNR or whatever it's called out there. Good Luck and Tight Lines, and remember that we love pictures.

One of the most epic battles I've ever had with a fishing pole in my hand. You could have knocked me over with a Feather the moment I saw it was a Carp! I'll be in that 66 degree sun today on Clear Lake. It'd be real nice if one of the green monsters comes out to play.

Here's a few spots close to Stockton that have easy access to the water:

Abandoned ramp at the end of Empire Tract Rd (often referred to as Eight Mile):

Isleton Public Pier:

Across the river from Isleton:

(look for the yellow pipe barriers that you can see on the Street View)

Hey Bosox209 welcome. I’m not sure about Stockton but I’m in Brentwood down the delta from you. We have some nice piers and they are all accessible they are ran by the regional parks. All piers require a walk from the parking lot. There is plenty of river access on Sacramento and San juaqin along the highways and sloughs those do require a little bush whacking though so not sure on your mobility I will list the piers below that have easy access parking lots bathrooms etc.

1. Big break in Oakley it has a nice pier and great place for family picnic. Stripers over thirty when they are hungry.

2. Bridgehead pier in Oakley Antioch next to the Antioch bridge. Easy access long pier some interesting characters but the bite is good for stripers and occasional smaller sturgeon.

3. Rio vista pier small pier but great access and amenities. Also the shoreline there is easy to fish from it has a paved walkway.

4. Sherman island you can pull the car over and fish out of your seat depending how high the river is also they have a nice beach.

5. Martinez pier should open soon hopefully they had to repair because of damage.

These are the spots in my local area they are an hour east of Stockton proper driving slow but that’s where I fish. I heard port of Stockton is a no fish due to maritime traffic and pollution.

google map the aqueducts by Tracy CA. Some have parking lots next to the water with a fence that you can lay your fishing rod on after casting out. Do not have to walk far from your car, there are garbage cans but no porta pottys. Catfish, stripers, black bass, etc. beware of falling into the water, many have drowned. Many YouTube fishing videos for the aqueducts available: "Palm Circle Pete" used to post about fishing the aqueducts around Tracy, then he moved. Others have video fishing post off Grant Line Road, have to fish early mornings as the wind really picks up in the afternoons.

Steamboat Slough @ Hogback Island Fishing Access (A short walk across the parking lot. I launch my kayak here too)

You should also take a look at my thread titled "List of Bank Fishing Spots for the Greater San Joaquin Delta". There are quite a few of them that are fairly easy to access. You can look at the satellite map to see what the rip-rap looks like.
