I read all the Arkansas reports I could find but didn't see anything on the western side of Arkansas. Looking for mostly catfish and crappie? It's a little early for spring but thought I would start getting prepared.

Welcome aboard Kingfish. Don't know anything about your area but my daughter just bought a house in Bismarck and I have to learn how to fish DeGray Lake. I am a big cat fisherman over here and hope my stile will work over there. Good luck.

Thank you Gorden. Those are some nice catches. I have fished many years for catfish in lake conroe, North of Houston. I live in Mena AR now and really want to find a good place for crappie close by. I won't turn down catching catfish though. I'll probably have a line or two out while crappie fishing. Looks like DeGray lake is about 2 hours, so I might have to give it a try.

Iron Fork is just down the road from my house. I've been there a couple times just taking the grandkids swimming. I didn't think there were many fish because I didn't see many people there. I will try it out. That would be great if I find some fish there being so close to my house. Any tips would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I just noticed you are the same one that posted about little fir. I will definitely try it out as well. I've never caught a walleye. I will be trying that for sure. It's only 40 miles from my house. Thanks again.

Irons fork has good fishing very little pressure straight out from the boat ramp is a flat about 8’ deep the channel and blue cats will move in there around April there are several grass beds on the shallow side of the lake towards the creek the crappie will be there as the water warms they are most likely towards the dam right now the lake is 35 to 40 feet from the point back to the dam but it is a hidden gem that a lot of people don’t know about lake Wilhelmina is also pretty good the other side of mena

I've been in conway for many years but this is a first for Me.
fish and game are drawing down lake conway.
Might be a good time to catch a monster cat!
My buddy stick man caught a 35 lb er just a few days ago and I've seen 45 50 60 lbs
caught.
Slab crappies also,
But its gunna take 5 years b4 the lake will be refilled and all them fish uncaught will be a waist!!!
