Day 3 was tough, the wind out of the East at close to 15 so we had to hunt spots out of the wind. I ended up with 3 two of which were dinks just over 12" and 1 at 15". My partner had the big fish today at 20" but it didn't have any gut weighed in at 3.66 pounds. We'll check out tomorrow and head back home but may get a couple hours fishing time in. It
s been a fun trip but ready to sleep in my own bed.... After the Pic I posted yesterday of the 8.5, I may have to take a trip down to Wilson and see can I get in on some of that action.
There are some "fishermen? I know of that know how to fill that empty gut.
Good luck if you head to Wilson.

Still a good day Mike. Fishing in the wind sucks, especially trying to use light line. It's hard to feel a bite with a 20ft bow in your line. Good luck if you get out in the morning. I'm adding Wilson to my bucket list.Have a safe trip home.

Fred, if you ever decide to go to Wilson give me a call, I've fished it on and off for over 30 years and I know exactly or close to where he caught that beast.

You will be my first call Mike. Hopefully not too far in the future. I appreciate the invitation.

Appears you boys had a nice trip Ivey, have often read about Dale Hollow and the smallmouth fishing and someday hope to fish it.

Well day 4 was called on account of fog, we got up this morning and it was so foggy you couldn't see 2 ft out the window. Today was check out day so we loaded the boat and headed to the house. Very enjoyable trip and we got to fish a section of the lake I've never been to. Going back in two weeks for a 4 day stay so maybe we'll make up for todays blank
Hey Ivey where do you stay on Dale Hollow Thanks n advance & good fishing

This time we stayed at Willow Grove but the cabins there are hard to reserve. Theres also cabins a Cedar Hill and there are several VRBO's in the area. There's a small Hotel in Celina TN the Valley View Motel that I can't tell you how nice but I've seen a lot of boats in their parking lot. Oh yea there are a few cabins at Horse Creek Resort also but they are old as the lake.
