Ft. Morgan fishing repot...
Any one been surf fishing this morning..Friday the 25th?
Let's see now..... the Ft. Morgan I know is in Colorado, you are supposedly in Memphis....and you want to know about "surf fishing" this morning, huh ?
Well aren't you the eclectic (and possibly geographically challenged ?) guy, now ?
Kinda hoping that you will give us a bit more defining of your ask, the one we are observing is kinda hard to pinpoint as to what & where you're after.
Help us help you, please.

Ft. Morgan Alabama on the coast
Sorry..! Ft. Morgan Alabama
Pete, Facebook has a page called "Gulf Shores Fishing"....not to take away from fishing stage, but I have found some great information on that sight...
Maybe you are the "geographically challenged" one...and maybe history as well?
*Everybody* knows that Fort Morgan is right across Mobile Bay from Fort Gaines...
They guarded the entrance to Mobile Bay in the War of Northern Aggression.
"Damn the torpedoes'' ring a bell?
🤣
They have a brand new pier there to enjoy.
Come on down!!
"Everybody" ?...... hehehe. No, fellow stager, not "everybody" by a long shot.
Google "Ft. Morgan"..... the FIRST SIX entries are about the front-range town in Colorado...... your Alabama place comes in about 8th with "Ft. Morgan Beach, Alabama"..... sorry.
As for your invite....no thanks, been there, done that. Simply don't care for that part of the country for multiple reasons, not the least of which is your weather and terrain and lack of clear cool rivers and streams.
Extremely thankful that our country allows us to choose where we reside....to each, his own.
And "war of northern aggression" ?
Really? You gonna go there ?
That's kinda sad. Here's to hoping y'all heal someday..... it's long past time to move on.
I'm fine....we're fine.
Considering the two Forts of that era are right here, I think it's OK to mention in that context. I kinda find it humorous. Sorry if it tripped your trigger, but I'm not "woke". 🤣
73 out today in December..horrible weather indeed. 😁
... Redfish, Speckled trout and Sheepshead are running...
Might go get me some seafood gumbo later with crabcakes and whiting...and cheese grits.
I grew up in upper East Tennessee, definitely different terrain, plenty of clear *cold* streams, and lakes...pristine and trophy trout.
I like it better here.
Extremely thankful that our country allows us to choose where we reside....to each, his own.
Have a good'n.
Pass the oysters, wouldja??
Joe, my wife is from LA (Eufaula) and we are lifelong residents of the great state of Alabama. However, I must agree that Alabama is a terrible, horrible place to live. Wherever I travel in the US, particularly out of the South, I always provide this wise counsel about Alabama: The weather is hot and humid, lots of bugs, mean and uneducated people, crowded cities, disgusting food, etc. etc. etc. You really want to go to Austin, Atlanta, Denver, Salt Lake, Miami or maybe even Portland! Don't move to Alabama or even drive through there - much too dangerous!!!
Now, can you recommend a guide in the Ft.Morgan area or close by that does trout fishing?
I'm glad you are providing that public service.
😁 Portland? Yes, by all means, Portland. 🤣
I don't know any guides...I just head out on my own.
I know there are plenty of charters out of the area. Facebook should provide plenty of leads. I'm on the Dauphin Island groups, there're people asking constantly that are coming down on vacation.
