Got out for some fishing this afternoon, much too windy to take the boat and so fished from shore. Landed only 4 cookie cutters 10.5-11” but will make due for tomorrow’s lunch. Pretty cold out there as well, never got above 35* and with the wind was not all that comfortable.

Bassattacker, I was throwing 2.5” Keitech swing impacts in electric bluegill. It was way too windy to fish them on a 1/16 oz. jig so I used a slip bobber and put several split shot above the jig so the line would pull the slip float and stay at the desired depth at about 6 to 8 feet and reeled painstakingly slow. I certainly didn’t slam them but was pleased given the conditions.

Nice job Brad, especially given the conditions. I may have to make a similar choice this week. It's supposed to be windy all week here. Glad you got some of your favorites to cooperate.

Thanks Leo, I have sucked on guides to clear them in the past but today was about as cold and windy as I can take it. Ice fishing on the other hand is welcome in the clam shack.
