We were at Wind Creek, mid July but didn't take the boat. We caught 1.5-3lb bass from their fishing pier in the late afternoon/early evening, from the marina docks and around some shallows within the campground. I talked to a tournament angler and in talking he said we did good as big ones except strippers are tough especially that time of year. We are planning going back again soon, now that it has cooled off. Might rent one of their cabins.

Don't know if you just like to pitch lures for bass if so not much help. However if you want to troll for them this is what I do. Crank bait that will run 4 to 8 feet run off the bank in about 15 to 20 feet of water I go as slow as my big moter will let me. Pull across any points you see you will shallow up some buy when you drop off the other side get ready. Hope you have good luck I find it very effective. After a while you will find the sweet spot
