I am going to Grand Isle this weekend with some friends. Does anyone have any suggestions of places to go. We will have access to a boat. Thank you for any help offered.

Where will you be staying on the island? Saturday and Sunday are calling for some windy conditions. You may have to stick to the bay side in which case fish the rock piles on the north side of the island and any platforms or islands farther into the bay. If the wind is blowing from the north then try the gulf side. Any rock piles, pilings or structure. Get some live bait, cocohoe minnows or live shrimp under a popping cork. Also, try the fishing piers next to LA 1 coming onto the island. They used to be the old highway 1 bridge. If it's too windy for a boat, try going onto Elmers Island. You will see the sign on the right before you cross the bridge onto Grand Isle. Good luck and send us some pics.

The Gulf water temperature in Grand Isle is around 76 degrees. If the Gulf is not too rough try surf fishing too.
