Not the ideal day for fishing, a bit rainy and some pretty bad wind but just had to get out. The kid heads out of town for another week tomorrow so the opportunity was ripe, especially because of the episode of the “Vid” last week. Caught the usual hammer handle snot rockets and a few bass along with a few gills. A much better day than spending it on the couch while feeling like shi# last week.

Looks like fun to me Brad. Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping to get out Thursday and Friday, when the wind dies and the sun comes out.

Good luck out there Fred, quite a bit of wind here as well but the nice thing with these local ponds ( all within 4 miles or so) is that you’re able to walk the banks and make the best of it without the hassle of driving and launching my massive 14’ Grumman.

Thank you fly, you’re too kind. Take care of Maid Marion as I’m sure you are in the Sherwood Forest.

Yes you are lucky to have those fertile ponds in such a close range. If I want a shot at anything bigger than stunted Bluegills, I have to drive and launch my massive 14' Lowe, 10-50 miles.:-) It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.

Thank you Flytier, good luck with the reds. Have never fished for those rascals but at some point would love to hook up on one of those bulls.

Looks like we both have “massive ones “ Fred, not that it matters much anymore.

That's not bad Fred. The very closest I have is 30 minutes driving. Most are an hour or more if I use the boat. I do have 1 pond and the Brandywine river inside 30 minutes, but the majority of the catch is stunted gills.

Yeah Jim, Zoar and Beseck are the closest. It takes longer on the surface streets getting TO the highway, than it does ON the highway.
