Never fished on Dierks. Where do I need to start looking and what baits?
I hope you find what you need, but as a Plan B, check the local bait shop for info as you get closer to the tournament.
Good luck!

Hey p.w., I looked up Dierks lake on last Thursdays fishing report, which you can sign up for on the AGFC app and I would suggest you do that, but I found very little info other than the current lake level info supplied by the Corp of Engineers. My other recommendation would be to contact some local bait shops or local guides located at the lake marinas there. Just tell them what you are dealing with (high school fishing tournament) and I believe that you will find those people very helpful.
Good luck and post pics of your catch from the tournament so we can see how it went for you.
MAS fish
Please excuse my lack of knowledge about the high school fishing teams, which I think is fantastic. However, as a recent transplant back to Arkansas from Alaska and a long time Alaskan charter operator/owner/guide and a one who has an educational background in fisheries, both science and policy, I found this post intriguing. What a great teachable opportunity to teach and learn ourselves about the fish in a lake and the management there in. Lots of fisheries/life lessons to be learned. I would love to hear some feedback.
Kind regards - Mark

White spinner baits or chatter baits. Top water poppers or plastic worms in any cove or point.
If you're in the Nashville high school tournament, good luck to all. I'll be at weigh in.
