Well guys. Went out to Tomales Bay Halibut fishin today.
Got out there little bit till 0800 and had to wait for the tide to come in enough for us to launch the boat. We were fishin for bait at 0830 and was havin trouble findin any.
Started fishin with frozen bait and then caught some live bait shortly thereafter.
I caught 4 different species of fish today.
Jack Smelt, Anchovies, Perch and Herring.
Brad finally caught 1 Anchovie.
The weather was overcast all morning BUT beautiful. Hardly any wind.
We fished till bout 1 pm. OH, Brad did catch 2 small, but keeper, Halibut.
One was 22 inches and the other was 24. Very nice eatin size , however, a little bigger wouldn't have hurt. BUT ya take what ya get.
PLUS, it's better than a skunk.
